Death of Company Founder
We are sorry to announce that our company founder, Malcolm McRae, passed away on the 28th of July 2010, at the age of 83. He was the father and grandfather of the current shareholders and leaves behind a son and daughter, six grandchildren and one great-grandchild. His passing marks the end of an era, and the loss of a true gentleman.
His funeral will be held in the Falkirk Parish Church at 10:30am on Thursday 5th August.
The story of how he started the company is told on the 'Malcolm and the Marzipan' page.
Moss Bros Roll-Out
We have won the contract to supply all of the Moss Bros stores, including their Cecil Gee and Savoy Tailors Guild brands, and their Canali and Hugo Boss franchises. The initial 160 systems started going into sites in late January, and were all playing by mid February.
Telegraph Business Club Video
A couple of months ago we were approached by film-makers working for the Telegraph Business Club, to ask if they could produce a video about us for the Business Club's website. The final copy of the video is now available and will appear on the Business Club's website when the site is relaunched following modifications.
New Mobile Broadband Packages
Ensuring that all clients can make the most of new technology is always a challenge. These packages include 12, 18 and 24-month music and broadband rental deals and combination offers incorporating music, broadband and mini 10.1" notebook players.
Congratulations Beaverbrooks!
We would like to offer our congratulations to Beaverbrooks for being voted top of the Sunday Times' 100 Best Companies to Work For, 2009.
'Credit Crunched' Prices
In light of the recent developments in the economy, we have carried out a complete review of our pricing models. This has enabled us to offer clients a range of 'budget' services and more variety of payment options.
Video-Only Signage System
A new video-only signage system has been developed for one of the national retail banks. The system is fully audio-visual but does not play any background music. Instead, it displays a range of video presentations, starting with a staff 'pep-talk' before branch opening in the morning. The daytime slots are filled with relevant features showing product adverts, customer advice suggestions and corporate videos. After the branches close the system changes over to staff-training mode. This will enable the bank to move towards its ideal 'posterless branch' model.
National Roll-Out
Beaverbrooks The Jewellers have completed a roll-out of music4Uonline to their stores nationwide. Running on the back of their existing network, the 60+ systems were installed within a two-week period. They are proving successful for the delivery of both music and advertising to the stores.
Premier Music Contract
Manchester United now has 11 music4Uonline systems in their various hospitality suites. The music profiles of each are tied to the theme of the suite, e.g. the suite commemorating their 1968 cup win has '60s music; their 1999 suite has '90s music. |
